Tell Me More

One of the ways I’ve been finding to bring more joy to a conversation—and to the person sharing with me—is to ask, “Tell me more.”

Lately, when someone is sharing something important to them and I ask them to tell me more, they seem to light up. They’re happy to tell more about what they love most about it.

I feel a lot of joy too. There’s a shared passion and exploration together, and that’s just been a lovely thing to do.

Giving each other attention seems like a wonderful gift, and this is an easy way to give it. It’s fun and playful.

I mean it when I ask. I want to be curious, and to explore what’s most important to them.

So, what’s something that’s been on your mind lately?

Tell me more.
