Supporting RSS and the Open Web

With the resurrection of wesmahler.com, I’m choosing to publish its full content through RSS, without restrictions. I believe an open web is worth supporting. The purpose of this site isn’t to maximize ad revenue, page views, or clicks, so I’m not going to force readers to visit the website. The purpose of my writing is to help us discover and fulfill what matters most to ourselves and our lives.

If sharing one idea, one sentence, or one principle helps someone else the way it has helped me, then it’s worth sharing openly. That’s why I’m committed to supporting RSS and the open protocols of the web.

If you’re not familiar with RSS, I encourage you to explore it. RSS lets you subscribe directly to the writers and websites you choose to follow, without third-party algorithms deciding what you do or do not see.

I believe we should be able to connect directly with one another. RSS helps preserve that direct connection between writers and readers.
