A look inside our Meetup202 Culture ( Video )

We had a pretty ridiculous Meetup202 SF event this saturday. There were over 65+ attendees and the place was overbooked. There we SEM professionals, high volume emailes, affiliate networks, facebook, advertisers, and of course affiliates. And if Meetup202 Bay Area wasn’t big enough, at the same time we had our event, the one and only Jasper and the Meetup202 LA group were having their event with, and held over 30 people!

Aaron Glinski the master-mind behind all of our new video series shot this one, and added in some effects. Although this video doesn’t do it absolute justice because at the time we shot it many people had already left. Most of the group after the meetup got something to eat, and then we went to a lounge and talked till almost 3AM in the morning. Prosper202 isn’t just a product, Prosper202 is a community of like-minded people getting together and helping eachother succeed. This is what Meetups are all about, and in this video you’ll get a glimpse inside of our culture.

And if you’ll be heading over to the Ad:Tech SF event coming this April, make sure to register on our group to check out the Meetup202 event we’ll be hosting while everyone is in SF.

Meet Ad Hustler and Ian Fernando – Interviews from Affiliate Summit West 2009

Like last year, we put together some interviews for the 202 community.  This year, we’ve refined our processes slightly and have a much more solid video production run.  Before I just had one camcorder; now we use three camcorders to get 3 different angled views.  Our video guy Aaron Glinski is helping put the videos together, it has been a pleasure working him  this far.  We shot almost ten interviews during this year’s Affiliate Summit West 2009 convention.  The first interview we did was with Ad Hustler and Ian Fernando, which I’ll be showing below.  You’ll notice the new TV202 website, this will be our future video storing house for anything we produce in the future.

Why Building a Fortune is better than Building Passive Income

I used to believe that building passive income was the absolute best way to achieve financial independence.  This idea of having passive income was so attractive to me earlier on; I told myself that I’d never work on any project that doesn’t pay me for the rest of my life.   And that has been the path I’ve taken for the last three years.

A lot of time was spent on building passive income, some of our projects succeeded, many of the them failed.  Although at this point I still have some stuff I worked on the past that continues to pay me until this day, but had I do it all over again, I would not have focused on passive income.

If someone is to build an empire of Adsense Sites, or long-term ppc campaigns and or start purchasing lots of rental property for instance (what I’ve tried to do) then you will end up with your monthly residual income.  And you will be financially free, able to retire after a few years of building your nest egg of passive investments.

After joining the affiliate industry, which is for lack of better words, crazy, I’ve begin to think differently.  It is not uncommon for someone to be able to generate a large amount of profit in a relatively short period of time and although what they have produced isn’t life-time residuals, they will come out ahead within a short period of time.

So much so, that the capital they were able to raise in 3-5 months, was now enough to invest in other projects. So I started seeing things a little differently, if you are able to generate $100,000 to $1,000,000 within a short time, you could then easily invest in passive income sources easier anyways.  And you’d be moving a lot faster than if you tried to build passive income from the get-co.  Because you’d now have capital to move even faster.

Which is better, $20,000/month net passive income? Or $1,000,000 in your bank account?

Besides. Who needs passive income if you have $50,000,000 in your bank account? You don’t need passive income at all, you’d have a fortune at that point.  And I bet building the fortune was funner than trying to build a bunch of small little projects and slightly increasing your monthly net income over the course of a few years.

Again, passive income is still awesome and is one way to be financially free,  Although any more, we don’t have time to waste.  We’re not here to build a small amount of monthly income, we want to do big projects with high-impact and build a fortune and a large amount of prosperity.

I have been able to free myself from focusing solely on passive income projects now, and now we focus on building a fortune.  I’d rather sell a company for $50 million than trying to build sites every-day, or buying 100 houses and renting them out.  It is personally more exciting for me, and passive income is a sure-fire bet, but is is slow, and not that exciting.

Just keep this in mind.  Building passive income is extremely slow, although building a fortune can be done quicker than you might ever imagined… think about it.

Passive Income, or a YouTube… a fortune (thats the difference…)

WorldProxy202 – proxies from around the world at your fingertips.

I’m pleased to introduce you to WorldProxy202, a proxy designed for International affiliate marketers. WorldProxy202 is an incredibly simple, yet powerful tool which provides international affiliate marketers with the ability to quickly view offers from different countries through the use of our proxy servers located around the globe.  When previously their IP address may have been blocked from viewing international campaigns, they can now easily view them by using WorldProxy202.

If your viewing a site through our US proxy, you can with a click of the mouse change the website to see it as if you were in Canada through the use our of Canadian Proxy site.  When you check it out for yourself you’ll see how easy it is to move around from country to country.  And of course we wanted to make it look good, proxy sites are normally hideously ugly.  But we have created a nice clean user interface, the kind you’ve come to expect from us.

But wait, there’s more! We also have a downloadable Firefox WorldProxy202 toolbar. Just download the .xpi file, and open it with firefox to install it.  With this bad boy installed, anywhere, anytime you need to view a site from a proxy, simply load up the toolbar, select what country you’d like to view it from, type in your url address and go!  You must have firefox to use our toolbar, and you can download the toolbar here.  Our toolbar gives you access to proxies from around the world at your fingertips.  I hope you enjoy it.

What about my privacy?

Well like all of the products we have created, there is always a huge concern about privacy. Our proxy sites monitor traffic like any other regular website using traffic analytics software. Although we do not intend to look at anyone’s surfing habits, as we like to keep our users information private, if there is however, any illegal or suspicious activity we will examine the logs to see what is going on.

What about the toolbar privacy?

The toolbar does not track your browsing usage in any way shape or form.  The toolbar does not send us data every-time you visit a web-page.  We have no knowledge of what your doing on the internet by simply having our toolbar installed.  The toolbar doesn’t even ping out to check for updates currently, when we do add in the update alert feature it we will have it ping the official firefox server for updates so we remain as far away as possible from your browsing activity.

The only function our toolbar provides, is the ability to quickly select your country, type in your url address and load up the appropriate WorldProxy202 domain for you.  But we do not have any knowledge of any of your surfing activity whatsoever besides when your actually on our websites.

Until next time.

Take a look at WorldProxy202, download our firefox toolbar, because if marketing campaigns on the web, this will come in handy.  Make sure to follow the official Prosper202 company blog to know about new toolbar releases, they won’t be posted on my personal blog most likely.  Well thats about it for now!  I look forward to hearing your comments, thanks everyone.
